- I use an Exabyte 4200c (hardware compression) DDS-1 (4mm DAT) drive with
- Diavolo v3.1, which was actually written using this very drive.
-
- However Diavolo supports many different tape streamers, and will auto
- detect type and features (except C= 3070/Calliper, which is easily
- manually configured). Work beautifully together, can restore 3 (small and
- far apart) files inside a 1GB backup withing 1 (one) minute, and backs up
- at 10-20MB/min depending on data. Diavolo can also backup MovieShop
- projects, disk images etc.
-
- Very intelligent system compliant software that runs at about 140DM from
- Computer Corner in Germany.
-
- (I should note that Diavolo occasionally reports SCSI READ errors from the
- 4200c, but I suspect a termination or other hardware conflict is
- responsible for this, not Diavolo itself or the drive.)
